The story began in 1968, in the village of Batim in Goa, where my grandmother opened a humble coffee bar to bring people together through food and culture. That same spirit lives on today at Golden Sands. As her grandson, I’m proud to introduce a new dining experience in Leicester – offering authentic Goan and Portuguese dishes, rooted in tradition and served with warmth. Open for dinner, from Thursday to Sunday, Golden Sands boasts some truly classic Goan Indian and Portuguese dishes – from the special Achari Chicken Tikka, to tasty curries such as Kid Goat Roganjosh. There are also exquisite fish choices, with Cafreal Salmon Tikka and Salmon Wellington to name a few.
